Safety knowledge and daily maintenance of sheathed electric heater
Sheathed electric heater is composed of heating core and sheath. The heating core uses metal tubular heating element as the heat source, and the sheath is made of cold-drawn seamless steel pipe or stainless steel pipe.
It is connected to the oil tank body by flange or thread. The sheath separates the heating core from the heated oil. When replacing the electric heater, it is not necessary to drain the oil in the oil tank. It is only necessary to pull out the heater core and replace it with a new heating core, which is convenient for maintenance.
Common sense of safety of sheathed electric heater:
1. The fixed support shall be free of deformation, there is no scratches and rust beyond 2mm of the cut edge, and the iron plastic strip shall be free of damage.
2. The element surface of the electric heating pipe shall not have obvious mechanical damage or local expansion; the bending part shall be free of wrinkles, concavities and other phenomena.
3. The paint layer, electroplated layer, metallic and non-metallic spray coating or aluminized layer shall be uniform and firm, without bubbles, peeling or local accumulation.
4. The surface of the thermostat housing is smooth, without cracks and mechanical damage, and the epoxy resin coating is smooth.
5. The surface and seal of the thermal fuse shell shall be smooth and free from cracks, flowing and mechanical damage; the outgoing line shall be bright and free of burrs and corrosion marks; the connection to the housing shall be firm without looseness.
6. The specification and length of the wire shall meet the requirements of the drawing, the connection shall be correct and reliable, the direction of the wire group shall meet the requirements, and the wiring plugs at both ends of the wire shall be correct and free of rust; the outer diameter and length of the sheath shall meet the requirements of the drawing, and the surface shall be free of damage.
